Ok Teens (and parents of teens) time to start thinking about college preparation. I know it seems like a daunting tasks with lots of deadlines and forms but we can do something about it this Fall. There are quite a few programs here at the library to walk you through this entire process.

Administered by Princeton Review - this practice test will be scored and returned to you to let you know your weeknesses and strong points.
Sept 29 Choosing the Right College 7:00
Joshua Marber, MS.Ed., will advise teens and their families on the college admission process. He will provide helpful information that will get you started on the right road now and after you graduate from high school.

· Should I take the SAT or the ACT?
· How do I get the most financial aid, scholarships & grants?
Sept 30 7:00 SAT Essay Prep
An SAT ESSAY preparation workshop that goes above and beyond instruction done in a typical SAT course is being offered on Wednesday, September 30th. Michelle Sale, an SAT instructor and English and social studies tutor, will be providing tools and strategies for writing a strong and well-organized essay, which makes up 30% of the overall Writing score.

Take a full length SAT and get a score sheet from Kaplan that details your strengths and weaknesses.
October 13 SAT Test Strategies 7:00
Join Kaplan Test Prep as they give you the “secrets” and “strategies” you need to do your best on the SAT.
Oct 19 Paying for College with Josh Marber 7:00
“Paying for College:”
· Getting the most financial aid from the government, states & colleges
· Filling out the FAFSA & other financial aid forms and Searching & applying for scholarships
