If you like Amber Brown and Clementine you are going to enjoy the new series I just discovered... Piper Reed, Navy Brat by Kimberly Willis Holt.

In the first book of the series Piper Reed (whose father is in the Navy) and her family move to Pensacola, Florida.  Piper does not want to leave her treehouse or her Gypsy Club friends, but she has no choice, so she decides to start a new club in her new school and the fun begins.  She also has to do with bathroom schedules (the family's new home only has one bathroom for 5 people), a poodle (she wanted a bigger dog) and her two sisters.
